We are so excited to share with you the many things happening here at Willow.
This summer has the potential to be incredibly full. Cynthia is planning a cross-country move, I am finishing a Masters and moving into the city of Chicago, and we are currently working on 4 weddings in 5 weeks!
Crazy, but so fun.
Since this summer, with the birth of the vision of Willow, we have felt so blessed by people's receptivity and excitement about our new business venture. For both Cynthia and I, weddings are a time of celebration, of unity, and of expressing a covenant of binding two lives together. We have been welcomed into the lives of four couples, and are so excited to help create a day that is representative of their love for one another, and their desire to unite their lives with the help of their dearest loved ones.
One of our couples, Whitney and Patrick, are getting hitched on June 5th in LA. California sunsets and outdoor weather are going to be combined for a beautiful evening celebration. Whitney and Patrick met at a youth group camp retreat when they were only 15 years old. Now, six years later, they are tying the knot! After meeting at the retreat, sharing a couple of Whitney's cookies, and playing paintball, Whitney and Patrick became inseparable. After a month, they were "official" and after three weeks of dating, they knew they wanted to get married.
Whitney went away to Illinois for college, and she and Pat continued to date long distance for 4 years. Though distance was challenging, Whit and Pat see this time as one of growth for their relationship. They have loved "growing up together" and walking into adulthood together. On July 27, 2010, Patrick proposed and Whitney ecstatically said YES!
The countdown is on for June 5th, 2011. We could not be more excited to work with them!
